Zion National Park - May 2004
From Bryce Canyon we drove further west to our last hiking destination, Zion National Park. We ended up in a hotel in the town of Springdale because all campgrounds in the park were already full. After an incredible dinner at the Bit & Spur restaurant we spent the evening walking through Springdale and eventually ended up in the hotel hot tub trading backpacking stories with another couple visiting Zion. Although we only got to spend two days in Zion it was arguably the most spectacular part of the entire trip. Although I had been there once before in 1980, the beauty of this park is truly awe inspiring.
